CAMGSMANNOUNCES MAJOR MILESTONES AND EXPANSION PLANS FOR 2025
Phnom Penh, Cambodia [April 4, 2025]—CAMGSM PLC., commercially known as Cellcard, Cambodia’s only homegrown telecommunications provider, released its 2024 Annual Report, detailing key achievements and outlining its strategic vision for 2025.
The report highlights a year of steady growth and strategic expansion, reflecting Cellcard’s commitment to enhancing Cambodia’s digital infrastructure. In 2024, Cellcard witnessed positive financial performance, with total assets increasing to 2,654.962 billion riels, a 4% rise from 2,560.996 billion riels in 2023. Total equity also saw an 9% increase, reaching 1,197.881 billion riels, up from 1,103.458 billion riels in the previous year.
Cellcard’s strategic initiatives in 2024 included obtaining the OTT Technology License and launching Cellcard Home Wi-Fi, expanding its digital service offerings. The company also focused on enhancing network coverage and user experience with site upgrades and optimization and new site rollout nationwide.
Recognizing its commitment to customer value and financial performance, Cellcard was awarded the Frost & Sullivan Mobile Services Customer Value Leadership Award and acknowledged as CSX’s Most Profitable Stock. Infrastructure development remained a core focus, with the installation of over 100km of fiber-optic infrastructure, network modernization efforts, and the achievement of over 70% completion of the 3G sunset project.
Looking ahead to 2025, Cellcard has outlined an ambitious expansion and modernization plan that includes deploying new sites to meet Cambodia’s growing digital demands.
