Phnom Penh, Cambodia – February 7, 2025 – Cellcard, Cambodia’s only homegrown telecommunications provider, reaffirmed its commitment to fostering innovation and driving the Kingdom’s digital future by stepping up as the Diamond Sponsor of the SprintX Accelerator Program Season 2. The program, launched on 6 February 2025 by Khmer Enterprise in collaboration with Cellcard and Prestige Consulting, aims to equip promising tech startups with the tools and resources they need to achieve investment readiness.

The launch event in Phnom Penh brought together representatives from government institutions, development partners, the private sector, entrepreneurs, and distinguished guests. The event featured a program overview and a dynamic panel discussion focusing on investment readiness, the Cambodian tech startup landscape, and the broader business environment.

SprintX Accelerator Season 2 builds on the success of its inaugural season, which supported 12 startups, with seven progressing to the deal support phase, connecting them with angel and institutional investors. Two startups from Season 1 secured a total of $30,000 in funding through business competitions.

This season, the program will continue to provide intensive support to selected startups, including masterclasses covering essential business management and operations, expert guest speakers sharing invaluable insights, dedicated mentorship, and the opportunity to compete for grants in the final round.

H.E. Dr. Chhieng Vanmunin, delegate of the royal government and CEO of Khmer Enterprise, emphasized the importance of startups and MSMEs as drivers of economic growth and innovation. “Khmer Enterprise believes that SprintX Accelerator, with the generous support of sponsors like Cellcard, will significantly contribute to the Royal Government’s efforts to create a thriving environment for these businesses to flourish,” he stated.
